Mackerel - Kids Trip

These are family friendly trips that are great for anglers of any age but are especially popular younger anglers. On these trips we stay close to shore and fish for Mackerel, a small fish often used as bait for many other species of fish. We use special Sabiki rigs that have many hooks on a single line, allowing us to catch many fish on one cast. We also use a specially designed Sabiki Rod that allows the hooks to be reeled directly into the hollow rod making it much
safer for younger hands. The captain and crew will keep some of the catch in our onboard live well which inevitably becomes the focus of our young anglers, who often become more interested in touching and watching the fish already caught, than fishing itself. Weather permitting, our young Captains in training will get an opportunity to steer the boat before heading back to the dock.
