GQ Charters is a family owned and operated charter located in the heart of Biddeford, Saco & Old Orchard Beach. We offer private charter fishing and sightseeing along the coast of southern Maine. Our base of operation near the mouth of the Saco River offers us the ability to access the Atlantic Ocean almost instantly or stay on the river to accommodate anyone that has issues with possible sea sickness. Our charters allow you to see Maine from a completely different prospective that most people don’t have the opportunity to see.
Meet Capt. Eric
Captain Eric BerGQuist has been an avid fisherman for his entire life, and has been fishing and boating on the coast of Maine for over 20 years. His experience boating and fishing also extends from Maine to as far south as the FL Keys and everything between. Capt. Eric holds a USCG 25 ton masters license in addition to being a Registered Maine Tidewater Guide.
About the Vessel
The SIMAH DOWN is a 28′ Hydra-Sport Center Console, which allows for 360 degrees of fishing or sight-seeing fun. The 9’6” Beam (width) creates additional stability, and a smoother less bumpy ride in even moderate seas. The fully functional toilet allows for worry free trips, no
matter how long or short. The SIMAH DOWN is fully insured and equipped with all of the most current safety gear. All charters are private and completely customizable. The boat can accommodate up to six people, but four is ideal to get the most out of your fishing experience.
